Cagliari’s new stadium will feature a spa

Cagliari Calcio has announced agreements with a number of partners to support it in the evolution of the new stadium project. The partnerships with Accor, Snow Group and bbspa_Group, which will further structure what is today the most advanced project in the construction of new stadiums and high-level infrastructures on the Italian scene, concern the hospitality and wellness areas, which will be included among the revenue lines of the new stadium.

As a partner of Cagliari Calcio in this innovative project, we are pleased that important players in the hospitality, leisure and wellness sectors have already embraced the project. The paradigm, which as developers we have adopted in our business model, presupposes the realisation of ESG-compliant real estate infrastructures, attractive to tenants of high standing, but above all places where the user enjoys a high-level experience. The ambition shared with Cagliari Calcio is precisely to make the new Cagliari Stadium a real destination,” says Jacopo Palermo, CEO of the COSTIM Group.

The hotel will open under the Mövenpick flag, connected to a major conference centre that will enrich the MICE offer in Cagliari, with 122 rooms, most of them with sea or football pitch views, and spectacular rooftop with bar and restaurant with swimming pool and a privileged view of Cagliari’s coastline and playing field.

The wellness project will come to life thanks to the agreement that Cagliari Calcio and Costim have signed with bbspa_Group and Snow Group for a new concept of “Urban Destination SPA” that is extremely innovative and of value for the entire city, opening up wellness to use not only for the weekend, but daily and midweek. bbspa_Group has worked on the study and design of a Spa of about 4,000 square metres, which is implanted on the football ground but which is rooted in the DNA of Sardinia. The success of the project stems from having designed a wellness centre that is not only aesthetically beautiful and innovative but also functional to manage and develop, thanks to Snow Group’s know-how. The team We Think of bbspa_Group conducted an accurate and strategic audit to gather all the information on the site, including market analysis, feasibility and marketing study to analyse the scenario in which the structure would be built and to define a SPA concept perfectly fitting the reality on site. The management of the Spa will be entrusted to Snow Group Italia, the Italian branch of the French parent company that manages over 60 Spas in Europe.

“The biggest challenge was to come up with a concept that was both innovative and functional at the same time, that found its place in an unusual context for a spa, and that drew its competitive and performance spirit from the soul of football, – says Régis Boudon Doris, CEO di bbspa_GroupOur ‘local’ approach saw us engaged in an in-depth study of Sardinian culture and traditions, which allowed us to devise a unique concept that I consider a winner since we were chosen as partners for the implementation of the project. The future ‘Urban Destination Spa‘, in fact, will be a wellness experience strongly imbued with Sardinia’s DNA, and will allow the whole world to discover the secrets of this land’s wellness, namely sacredness and longevity”.
